Would you believe I came down with something on Friday and Saturday? Not sure if it was something I ate (which DH reminds me it could be anything as I eat everything in sight). We ate out a lot last week or atleast I did and had a lot of rich food. It started with taking my mother out after her colonoscopy (Tuesday). She was famished as well as I. I was at the hospital with her for 5 hours. After her procedure, we raced over to Olive Garden. On Wednesday evening, DH and I went out for a Mexican dinner and then to the movies. On Thursday, I grabbed something to eat while running errands. I usually limit my eating out to once a week. Whew! What a way to spend most of my long weekend...feeling ill.
When I started to feel better, I did manage to finish my seafoam green city shorts. I have also traced and cut out a pair of brown cotton twill pants from the same pattern. What happened to my capri or cropped version? Ahhh...you've been keeping up with my postings. As some of you know, I'm only 5 feet tall. Well, I traced out a size small cropped version...which ends up being regular length pants on me. lol!!! I wanted to see what this will look like on me. I promise the next version will be cropped by an unknown amount...TBD.
So, I have managed to sew one of two garments slated for this weekend. I think the top will be postponed until next weekend...something quick to sew. I'm in the sewing pants mode and I'll get that started after I'm done with this post.
I feel like I have lost a lot of sewing time this weekend.
What have you sewn this weekend?

Sorry you haven't been well! I hope you start to feel better soon!!!
I made Butterick 5029 for the second time lol.I lost the first one lol
I'm hoping you have a continued recovery and will be back to your feel-good self by tomorrow. I loath stomach virus or ailments. Nothing ever seems to work to make them better and time often seems to be the only antidote. But all is not lost! Cutting and tracing is good enough so you're ready to go with a new project :) .
The Internet is such a funny thing in that I always find it hard to tell how tall a person is. Your pics make you look about 5'4" or 5'5".
As for those weekend projects, today I worked on rehemming the top I just made to make it a smidge longer, restitched the princess seams on another top to make it fit better in the back, then worked on trying to piece together wall hangings. I was just about to stitch them until I found out my bobbin needed threading. So that's where I'm at right now--bobbin is on the machine ready to thread. Just meandering type of sewing I guess.
Adrienne...how can you lose a dress you've made???? I think someone close to you...borrowed it and is not giving it back. lol!
Kat...thank you for making me feel taller. lol!
Ladies...thank you for the well wishes. I'm starting to feel like myself...spunky. :)
LOL I think I left it in a hotel when hubby and I went out of town. That is the last time I remember seeing it lol.
