Naturally, after seeing the pattern sheets I feel a real challenge to tackle my first BWOF pattern. For those of you who never laid eyes on a BWOF mag, here is one of the pattern sheets from my 11-2008 mag.

This one is for me. I am using two yarns, one in black and the other in denim twist color. Wool Ease by Lion Brand. I love the effect so far.
I feel another productive weekend coming on. My Christmas shopping is done...no need to be in the stores or on the Internet.
I might even bake some oatmeal cookies...yum, yum.

Good luck with your BWOF project! I would skim the directions and then chuck 'um because they are usually more confusing than helpful. BWOF directions have made me a better sewist because I have to figure out the best way on my own. Good luck! That's a cute pattern. I plan on doing it someitme after I get my Christmas gifts all done.
I had to chuckle when looking at your BWOF pattern pic. I took out my one and only BWOF several months ago, looked at the pattern sheets, and put it back in my pattern drawer LOL. There's just SO many lines!
Hi Dawn...thank you for the BWOF guidance. You are my BWOF hero. I agree with you that the BWOF instructions can be confusing and I should rely on my sewing experience to get through this pattern. I was looking at the sparse neckline facing instructions and thought about applying my TNT Stretch and Sew way of applying neck binding. This pattern definitely has a cute factor. I can't wait to see the results I get.
Kat...I know. It's taken me 7 issues to finally get the nerve to try out one of their garments. I've been doing a lot of BWOF "reading" over the last few months and I finally have a good picture in my head...what I need to do. Thankfully, I have a lot of experience tracing patterns. Thank goodness for the colored lines. lol!
