I'm Keeping Busy

I have a lot of sewing project ideas swirling in my head right now. I plan on designing and sewing up some "samples" to see if they will work. It's part of my new adventure.

Yesterday, I finally took my Sapphire SM in for its first maintenance. Nothing is wrong with it. I felt it needed to be done before I dive back into sewing and spend long hours with my machine. In the meantime, my beloved Platinum will be getting a good workout.

Today, I took my Imagine serger into my Babylock dealer for maintenance. I also talked with the owner about teaching some classes there.

Now that I have some temporary space in my sewing room, I am bringing my embroidery machine out of hibernation. DH keeps reminding me about some shirts he would like me to embroider for him. Since he's the Head Elder at our church, he wanted me to embroider the church's name. I've already done the design and printed it on a piece of vellum paper. DH loves it. I just need to do a test on a cheapie t-shirt to see what it will look like.

I have also visited my local small business center to pick up some information about starting a business in my state. It seems a lot of folks in my neck of the woods have been laid off and are doing something similar. I already have a business plan template. It's actually one that I created and used for my final undergraduate project.

I will also be busy working at my LYS, the early part of next week.

I'm actually enjoying my time. Hopefully, I can get my plans in place for my next adventure.

Staying busy is good when you are between jobs. Been there and done that.

Thinking of starting a new business sounds good as well. Many people who find themselves in your situation bring out that business idea and plan and bring it to fruition. I hope that this works out for you. Having a plan and working it can be very uplifting.
